Nobody Wants Cellulite!
Are there other options?
There is plenty of talk about other options to get rid of cellulite these days. You have heard about liposuction, but do you know about velasmooth, velashape, or lipo dissolve?

All are relatively new to the market. But how do they work? Do they work? And are they an option for you?

Velashape -

Velashape is one of the latest forms of cellulite fighting technology. It gets rid of cellulite by treating the skin and the  tissue underlying it. Utilizing infrared and radio frequencies, velashape heats the fat, thereby virtually dissolving it. This method is generally safe, effective and essentially painless.

Velashape usually takes 4 separate treatments. It can be used on any  area of the body prone to cellulite -  thighs, buttocks, love handles, or abdomen. There are no drugs used or any reported side effects.

Smart Lipo -

Smart Lipo is a laser treatment. Targeting the fat deposits with a laser, which causes the cellulite to breakdown, the fat is removed from the body by a cannula, not unlike regular liposuction. But unlike liposuction, it is much less invasive and also has a much quicker recovery period. Swelling and bruising are also much reduced.

Lipo Dissolve -

Lipo dissolve is an another alternative availalble for people looking to get rid of cellulite. Lipo dissolve works by injections made directly into the fat deposits on the body.

The lipo dissolve causes the body to break down the cellulite naturally using its own methods for breaking down fat. The body will then shed the excess fat.

All of these operations are quite expensive and generally not covered by your insurance as it is an elective cosmetic surgery. They are options for some people. But for others, these same results can be made by changes in your diet and exercise regimen. Many times the clinics that offer these treatments advise changing your diet and exercise routines as well anyways.

As well, the noted American doctor Dr. Andrew Weil says,

"Although people who have had the treatment may be pleased with the outcome, I've seen no scientific proof that it works as advertised. Worse, I'm disturbed that there doesn't seem to be any standardization of what substances are injected - apparently, different doctors use different combinations of drugs. I've read that the medications are combinations of plant extracts, vitamins, Novocain and aminophylline (a stimulant drug from tea that was formerly used to treat the symptoms of asthma). Another drug that is often used is phosphatidylcholine, which can cause extreme swelling and inflammation at the injection site. This concoction is supposed to stimulate fat cells to give up their fat. Anyone considering mesotherapy should find out exactly what medications are going to be injected and what side effects they may cause. This is particularly important if you're taking any other drugs, either prescription or over-the-counter. "

It just seems better to stick with the cheaper, natural way of losing cellulite.
